Sparanise. The Municipality asks for 8400 euros per year (just 700 euros per month).
The objective of the extraordinary commission of Sparanise composed of the vice prefects Maura Nicolina Perrotta and Florinda Bevilacqua and the accounting expert former member of the Anti-Mafia office of the Prefecture, Salvatore Carli, is to identify economic operators interested in managing the Palazzetto dello Sport, a modern and versatile facility that underwent significant renovation and adaptation interventions in 2021.
In this Municipality of Caserta, the extraordinary commission revoked several administrative authorizations as well as 8 contracts through the exercise of anti-mafia powers. The last two contracts concerned the previous management of the Sports Hall and the management of the municipal purifiers.
For the Sports Hall, the commission, with the revocation resolution, indicated the investigations carried out, highlighting the irregularities in the assignment procedure that had been carried out during the management burdened by the dissolution order.
The assignment revoked by the Commissioners had been ordered during the dissolved administration, in favor of a local volleyball association in which there were two members and a technical director belonging to the same family found to be related to the former president of the Sparanise municipal council, dissolved for mafia infiltration, as well as to the wife of the former mayor of the same administration.
The triad of commissioners, following the revocation of the assignment, aware of the value of sport in general and the need to ensure the community the use of such a precious asset in safety and in compliance with the rules and regulations imposed by the competent bodies, immediately started all the necessary procedures to begin the process aimed at the assignment of the structure.
In fact, it has approved a specific public tender to allow all sports associations and clubs to participate in a fair competition to obtain the management of the sports hall which can be used for the following sports disciplines:
– Volleyball; – Handball; – Gymnastics; – Fencing (with prior use of a special platform); – Heavy athletics, including: judo, wrestling, Karate, similar martial arts, with prior use of a special platform); – Athletics; – Dance; – Sports dance; – Mini-basketball; – Tennis; – Five-a-side football; – Related activities.
The structure, initially built in the 90s, saw a major restoration in 2021. This intervention made it possible to adapt the facility to new regulations, improving the services, the playing field and the technological systems.
Today, the Palazzetto dello Sport in Sparanise can boast of being a Coni federal centre, guaranteeing high standards for a variety of sports disciplines, including volleyball, handball, gymnastics, fencing, athletics, dance and many others.
The facility features a versatile playing field, stands with a capacity of 360 people, changing rooms for teams and referees, modern toilets, a large parking area, and much more. Additional improvements, such as a 100 kW photovoltaic system with energy storage, also ensure sustainable and environmentally friendly management.
The Palazzetto dello Sport is not only a place dedicated to sporting events, but it is a multipurpose center at the service of the community. The sporting activities that can be hosted are numerous, and the Municipality undertakes to reserve eight hours per month for local sports clubs, thus encouraging the participation and organization of amateur and youth events. Furthermore, the structure is open for use by students of municipal schools, thus helping to promote the importance of physical activity and sport among young people.
