Sparanise, tries to stab rival in love and hits a friend: manhunt

Sparanise – A serious episode of violence shocked the quiet town in the Caserta area this morning, shortly after 6:30, in via Fondo Rieco.

The Carabinieri of the Capua Company intervened urgently following a report denouncing a furious fight in progress.

According to the initial reconstruction by law enforcement, the argument, which involved three people, broke out over passion.

At the height of the argument, a man of Tunisian origin, blinded by jealousy towards his ex-wife's new partner, allegedly pulled out a kitchen knife, stabbing a 34-year-old resident of Pignataro Maggiore in the abdomen. After the act, the attacker fled in his car, disappearing without a trace.

Initial investigations reveal that the attacker's initial target was the ex-wife's new boyfriend. However, the 34-year-old, who intervened to defend his friend, allegedly placed himself between the two, becoming the target of the attack. In a fit of rage, the Tunisian apparently did not hesitate to strike, seriously injuring the victim.

The 118 staff immediately arrived on the scene, providing first aid to the injured man, transporting him urgently to the hospital in Caserta. Here the man, currently hospitalized, is awaiting surgery to stabilize his condition.

The Carabinieri of the Capua Company have started an intense investigative activity to track down the attacker, who is still wanted. The investigations continue at a rapid pace to shed light on the exact dynamics of the facts and bring the person responsible to justice.
