The match between Atalanta and Fiorentina, originally scheduled for 18pm, was postponed following the illness suffered by Joe barone, general manager of the Viola club, which took place during the team's retreat shortly before the match.

Lega Serie A confirmed the postponement of Atalanta-Fiorentina via an official statement, establishing that the match will be rescheduled for a later date yet to be defined.
The serious episode occurred while Joe Barone was in a hotel in Grassobbio, near Orio al Serio airport, where Fiorentina was holding a retreat in preparation for the match against Atalanta.
The manager was promptly transferred to Milan and admitted in critical condition to the San Raffaele hospital.
