Sant'Antonio Abate, in the province of Napoli, faces a water emergency that leads to the closure of all schools public and private for two consecutive days. The mayor Ilaria Abagnale announced the suspension of school activities for Wednesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 21 due to a scheduled intervention on the water main.
According to the mayor, the Gori company has planned a repair intervention on a supply pipe that will require the suspension of water supply throughout the municipal area from 9:7 on Wednesday to XNUMX:XNUMX on Thursday. The decision to close schools was taken to ensure access towater in educational facilities, necessary both for normal activities and for hygiene and health measures.
“Given the need to have water available in our schools, both for normal activities and to ensure hygiene and health measures, in agreement with the competent offices, we have issued an ordinance to close all public and private schools for the days of Wednesday 20 March and Thursday 21 March”, declared Mayor Abagnale.
School closures will not be the only consequence of the planned intervention: municipal offices will remain closed only on Wednesday, March 20. This is a precautionary measure to address the water emergency and ensure the well-being and safety of the community during the repair intervention.
