As part of the fight against illegal building, the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata has ordered the demolition of a reinforced concrete structure in Striano.
The structure, approximately 32 meters by 13, was in a rough state and had not been completed with internal walls, perimeter infill, finishing or systems. It was located in a seismic area and subject to landscape restrictions.
The abuse dated back to 2007 and the demolition was carried out by the owner of the building himself, under a self-demolition regime, without charges for the Municipality or the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
The operation represents an important signal against illegal building, a phenomenon that damages the territory and the environment. The demolition of illegal buildings is a fundamental tool to restore legality and dissuade future abuses.
The Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata, thanks also to the awareness-raising work carried out, will continue to firmly combat illegal building to protect the territory and its citizens.
