Naples – The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Napoli, as part of their ongoing efforts to combat crime, have intensified checks on the territory, with particular attention to nightlife venues frequented by young people.
The main goal is to disarm those who illegally carry firearms, putting a stop to violence and ensuring the safety of citizens.
On Saturday afternoon, in Piazza Vittoria, the soldiers of the Nucleo Radiomobile of Naples noticed two boys on a scooter with Polish license plates who were acting suspiciously. The passenger, a 17-year-old, was hiding something under his shirt.
During the check, the Carabinieri found a 9mm pistol without a serial number, with a magazine inserted and a bullet, hidden in the shoulder strap of the minor. The 17-year-old was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and complicity in receiving stolen goods, while the 20-year-old, of Marano, and already with a criminal record, while driving the scooter, he was reported for receiving stolen goods.

The operation is part of the awareness campaign "Sempreverde", promoted by the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Naples, which aims to combat the spread and illegal use of firearms, especially among young people.
The Carabinieri of Naples continue to carry out constant monitoring of the territory, intensifying checks in sensitive areas and in places where young people meet, with the aim of preventing and repressing crimes, guaranteeing the safety of citizens and combating crime in all its forms.
