The first edition of “PaNeapolis – History, Tradition and Innovation of Bread Making”, a festival dedicated to Neapolitan bread in all its nuances. +
The event, which will be held until Sunday 19 May, will offer the public a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of bread, from its thousand-year history to the most modern processing techniques.
The president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, spoke at the ribbon cutting, underlining the importance of this event in support of a struggling sector: "We must lend a hand to the bakery sector that is suffering. We will do this through two concrete actions: supply chain contracts to guarantee supplies of wheat at a stable price and professional training to attract young people to this profession, offering them excellent employment and excellent pay".
For regional councilor Roberta Gaeta, the goal of “PaNeapolis” is to “recover our tradition and our white art, but also to involve young people in a profession that they still don’t know enough about. In this event, tradition and the future come together”.
