The victim was contacted by the two boys in the province of Avellino who, pretending to be interested in the purchase, managed to persuade her to make a bank transfer. With cunning, the scammers managed to have approximately 2.500 euros credited to them, and then stopped all communication with the seller.

Thanks to the investigation conducted by the Carabinieri, the two young men were quickly tracked down and reported for the crime of fraud. The authorities recommend that citizens be particularly cautious when making online sales, suggesting that they use secure payment methods and never make money transfers without having verified the identity and reliability of the person they are talking to.
