Boscoreale, operation against the 'wild bag': the first fines are issued

The operation against litter bins has begun in Boscoreale. Municipal Police officers and Ambiente Reale staff have been deployed to combat illegal dumping of garbage and bulky waste in various areas of the city. In just a few hours, three citations were issued against residents who had indiscriminately dumped their waste.

The task force, composed of personnel from the company garbage collection and by the Municipal Police officers, discovered a mini landfill outside a condominium in the historic center. During the verification of the envelopes, it was possible to trace the author of the uncivilized gesture through the names present on documents and utility bills.

“The checks will continue and will be intensified in the coming weeks,” explained councilor Ida Trito together with mayor Pasquale Di Lauro. “We will monitor not only the abandonment of garbage on the street, but also the bags of recycling in condominium areas.” The other two reports were issued in two peripheral streets, demonstrating that waste abandonment is a plague that affects the entire municipal territory.

“What we are putting into play is the result of teamwork,” said Bruno Cammarota, president of Ambiente Reale. "We are betting on a cleaner city and on improving waste sorting. To achieve these results, it is important that all citizens collaborate with us. We respect the waste collection days and we are careful not to dirty our streets."
