Le Reservations in the hotels of Castel di Sangro are increasing thanks to the training camp summer of Napoli Football. The effect of the Neapolitan team is felt again this year, regardless of the performances in the championship.
Giovanni Dellarmi, manager of several accommodation facilities in the Abruzzo town, confirms the increase. “The numbers are growing”, says Dellarmi. “We are currently seeing an increase of almost 10 percent in attendance for the retreat period compared to last year.”
This data is encouraging for tourism operators, who are hoping for a successful season after an anomalous winter without snow. The mayor of Castel di Sangro, Angelo Caruso, who is also President of the province of L'Aquila, aims to replicate last year's great numbers.
In the summer of 2023, Napoli arrived in the capital of San Marino with the tricolor sewn on their chest.
“This year the star of the retreat will be Antonio Conte, the new coach and former coach of the Azzurri”, Caruso emphasizes. An influx of 140 thousand people is expected in the two weeks of retreat, from July 25 to August 9, with an average of 10 thousand visitors per day.
The optimism of the tourism operators is palpable, with the hope that the Naples effect will continue to bring benefits to Castel di Sangro and the entire region.
