A major maritime police operation has led to the seizure of a 3.000-square-meter area of water in Borgo Marinari, at the foot of Castel dell'Ovo in Naples.
The action, conducted jointly by the Port Authority, the Guardia di Finanza, the State Police and the Local Police, broke up an illegal occupation that saw the presence of 40 boats moored illegally.
Three people reported
Three people have been reported to the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office for illegal occupation and violation of landscape and architectural restrictions. The Coast Guard has seized the area and removed the illegal vessels and mooring structures.
Checks and sanctions for concessions
The operation did not end with the seizure. In fact, checks were carried out on the concessions present in the area, ascertaining several violations. 7 administrative violations were contested for non-compliant use of the concessions, with the imposition of fines for a total of over 7.000 euros.
