The prestigious “Bianca d'Aponte Award,” dedicated to Italian female singer-songwriters, revealed the finalist of its 20th edition.
Ten emerging talents have been selected by a large and varied Guarantee Committee. The Finals and the Artistic Direction
The final stages of the competition will be held at the Cimarosa theater in Aversa on the evenings of October 25 and 26, under the artistic direction of Ferruccio Spinetti. Margherita Vicario will be the godmother of the event, accompanied by numerous guests, whose names will be revealed soon. The Award will officially open on October 24 with a masterclass on songwriting, held by Giuseppe Anastasi and Giuseppe Barbera, intended for the finalists but also open to the public.
Prizes and Awards
The winner of the overall prize will receive a scholarship of € 1.000, while the winner of the “Fausto Mesolella” Critics’ Award will receive a scholarship of € 800. The general jury will also award plaques for the best text (dedicated to Oscar Avogadro), the best music and the best interpretation. Additional prizes and bonuses will be awarded by individual members of the jury or by organizations and associations close to the Bianca d'Aponte Award.
The Guarantee Committee
The finalists were selected after a month and a half of work by the Award Guarantee Committee, composed of numerous professionals from the Italian music world. These include producers, record companies, managers, singers, authors, musicians, journalists and critics. Among the names that stand out are Giuseppe Anastasi, Roberta Balzotti, Giuseppe Barbera, Fabrizio Basso, Carolina Bubbico, Rossana Casale, Valentina Casalena Parodi and many others.
Juries and Collaborations
Many members of the Guarantee Committee will also be part of the two juries, the general one and the critics' one, which will award the prizes during the final evenings in Aversa. The Bianca d'Aponte Award is organized by the Bianca d'Aponte Association, in collaboration with ReteDoc, and is supported by SIAE - Italian Society of Authors and Publishers and by NuovoImaie.
