A board Palinuro ship of the Navy and embarked a healthier skin stabiese Claudio Carrese.
And embarked with 20 other young students thanks to the Italian sailors' association of which he is a member. Claudio is part of the youth group of the anmi stabiese led for 2 years by Ivan Guida, a young member who is interested in the history and tradition of the navy. It is the first time that a young citizen of Stabia has embarked in this context.
All thanks to the Navy General Staff which, once again this year, has proposed the possibility of embarking young members of the National Association of Italian Sailors, aged between 16 and 26, on training ships that carry out training campaigns.
Both the president of the Anmi Group of Castellammare di Stabia, Aldo Verdoliva and the head of the youth group Ivan Guida, express their satisfaction for this opportunity offered to Claudi.
“It is an acknowledgement to the group of members from Castellammare and to the activity of the youth group – they said – present and active in our city not only as an institutional representation, but also as a social activity”.
Claudio, student at the Federico II engineering faculty of Napoli, and grandson of the late Lieutenant of the Naval Engineers Claudio Carrese. For him an extraordinary experience that will remain in his life.
The ANMI Stabiese Youth Group is made up of 10 young people who had chosen to participate in the training cruise on the Palinuro ship through a specific application, forwarded through the Stabiese section of the ANMI, and, after a selection in Rome, the good news for Claudio that he had been accepted for boarding.
An experience lived not as a passenger or a tourist, but by experimenting with seafaring life aboard a Navy sailing vessel used for practical summer training of students from its training schools.
