The young singer from Campania La Femelle has reached the peak of her musical career by winning first place at the third edition of the Samara Festival. This event, famous in the national panorama for celebrating contemporary music and art, was held in Trasacco (AQ) from 6 to 8 September, attracting artists and enthusiasts from all over the country.

A Well Deserved Triumph
La Femelle's victory was decreed by a jury of experts who appreciated her energy and extraordinary interpretative ability. In addition to the main prize, the artist received the special recognition in memory of Luca Piccone, presented to her by Gianluca Occhiuzzi. This further recognition underlines the emerging talent of La Femelle in the Italian music scene.
Special Awards
During the festival several other important awards were given. The Franco Califano Award was won by the singer-songwriter from Bologna Marcello Romeo, while the Barba Award, dedicated to the memory of Alberto Di Fabio, was given to Ramoi, a singer-songwriter originally from Anzio, by the creator of the festival himself, Matteo Di Fabio, aka Matteo Farge.
The Transaquas Award
Another significant award, the Transaquas Prize, was given to Giuseppe Ippoliti from Marsicano. His song in dialect moved the audience, paying homage to the resilience of the Abruzzo people in memory of the devastating earthquake of 1915 that caused approximately 30.000 victims.
Extemporaneous of Painting
In the visual arts category, artist Antonella D'Angelo received recognition for her work inspired by the famous “Fontamara” by Ignazio Silone. Her representation was striking for its intensity and ability to evoke profound themes linked to the history and traditions of the area.
The Final Night
The closing night of the festival was presented by an exceptional trio composed of the artistic director and Roman showman Claudio David, the councilor of the Order of Journalists of Abruzzo Daniele Imperiale and the actress and presenter Diletta Laezza.
The jury
The jury was composed of prominent figures from the world of music, including Cinzia Baccini, Franco Califano's historic backing singer, record producer Marco Lecci, poet and writer Vincenzo Costantino, and lawyer and radio speaker Maurizio Colaiacovo. These professionals had the onerous task of evaluating the performances and works, contributing to the great success of the third edition of the Samara Festival.
