Heavy-handedness of the judges of the Court of Torre Annunziata against the former boss of Poggiomarino, Rosario Giugliano known as 'o minorenne and the neo melodic singer Alfonso Manzella, known as “Zuccherino”, who among other things is the son of his partner.
Rosario Giugliano, the former boss who is now 63 years old and a collaborator of justice, was sentenced to 13 years. While Manzella was sentenced to 14 years and 6 months in prison by the Court of Torre Annunziata, at the end of an ordinary trial.
Gianluca Domenico Marano received 15 years in prison, finally Teresa Caputo, mother of Manzella and partner of Giugliano, was acquitted of the charge of having transferred directives from the prison to the outside.
The investigation, conducted by the DDA of Naples and Salerno, focused on Poggiomarino and Pagani.
The facts date back to the period between 2016 and 2020, during a clash between two clans: one led by Rosario Giugliano and the other by Antonio Giugliano, not related to each other. Thanks to the work of the Torre Carabinieri, intimidation with gunshots, a case of extortion, drug trafficking (of which Manzella was acquitted), money laundering, fictitious registrations and possession of weapons emerged.
The aim of the group is “or Minor” it was the control of illicit activities in Poggiomarino and nearby areas, including economic activities and businesses.
The clash with the rival boss and namesake Antonio Giugliano
According to the charges, Manzella, who has a criminal record, acted as a lieutenant on behalf of his stepfather Giugliano during his detention. With Giugliano's release in 2016, there was a phase of conflict, with Giugliano establishing a base in Pagani and making a pact with the local clan. Among the episodes, an ambush at a coffee shop in 2017 in Poggiomarino, organized by Manzella to hit the rival boss.
