And even today Naples and its province mourn a young victim of the road. It is a rosary that seems endless. The victim who, unfortunately, is being told today was only 17 years old.
In fact, this night the Carabinieri of the San Gennaro Vesuviano station intervened in via Nola for an accident. A 17-year-old riding his scooter (helmet on), for reasons still being ascertained, ended up against a car and fell violently to the ground.
The driver of the car stopped to provide assistance. Taken by ambulance to the hospital in Nola, the young man died shortly after from his injuries.
The two vehicles involved in theaccident, with valid registration documents and insurance, were seized.
Investigations are underway to clarify the dynamics. The driver of the car, as per procedure, was subjected to an alcohol test and a drug test, which will determine whether he was fit to drive at the time of the impact.
