The events of the 1st Edition of the review “Archive Notes for the Mile of Memory” continue, organized by the Superintendency of Archives and Bibliography of Campania in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Entertainment and the Directorate-General for Archives of the Ministry of Culture.

On Saturday 21st September, at 11.00 am, the historic Palazzo Diomede Carafa will be the splendid setting for the ensemble's concert , with free admission upon reservation on Eventbrite.

The concert

The concert program, conducted by Stefano Demicheli at the harpsichord with Paologiovanni Maione as musicological consultant, will focus on the instrumental literature of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Pieces by great Neapolitan Masters such as Nicola Antonio Porpora, Angelo Ragazzi and Domenico Scarlatti will be performed. This performance represents a unique opportunity to appreciate compositions of high artistic and historical quality, often overlooked in contemporary musical circuits.

Volcanic Talents

The ensemble Talenti Vulcanici was born in 2011 thanks to the Pietà de' Turchini Foundation, which boasts twenty years of experience in the sector. The Foundation is known for having introduced unknown or forgotten musical repertoires to the Neapolitan public, performed by internationally renowned artists. Talenti Vulcanici stands out for its ability to explore and reinterpret the musical heritage of the past with contemporary sensitivity, bringing to light sacred and profane compositions of the Neapolitan musical school.

Palazzo Diomede Carafa

Palazzo Diomede Carafa, located in the historic Via San Biagio dei Librai, 121, represents an important symbol of the center of Naples. Built in the XNUMXth century and significantly renovated by Count Diomede Carafa di Maddaloni in the XNUMXth century, the palace is a fascinating example of the transition from Gothic to Renaissance architecture. The choice of this location adds further artistic and historical value to the event, creating a dialogue between the visual and musical arts of the period.
