La Domus Ars of Naples is preparing to become a lively musical center with the project “Tutta un'altra musica”, organized by the Fondazione Il Canto di Virgilio. This ambitious program, which will take place over nine evenings starting from October 19, promises to bring to the stage a rich musical repertoire that covers centuries of tradition, from villanelles from Scandinavian dances to musical music.

Exploring the 'Sound Centuries'
The project aims to transform every evening into a sound journey, involving ensembles, soloists, actors and musicians. The inauguration will be dedicated to the masterpieces of the golden age of European music and will feature the soloists of the Wind Symphonietta under the direction of Gianni Mola. The narrator will be John Mauriello, a well-known former member of the New Folk Song Company, who will lead the audience through a repertoire ranging from Charles Gounod to Dmitri Shostakovich, including a Neapolitan version of Prokofiev's famous symphonic tale “Peter and the Wolf”.
The unmissable musical events
Each evening will offer a unique musical setting: on October 26, for example, the public will be able to attend “L'opera da pagliaio” with Raffaello Converso, a mix inspired by the works of Kurt Weill and Raffaele Viviani with references to Brecht's theatre. The following weeks will reserve space for the Duo Nuances, and extraordinary performances by the cellist Luca Signorini together with the pianist Paola Volpe, on compositions by Debussy and Schumann. The conclusion of the cycle of events will be held on December 6 with “Il violoncello nelle grandi colonne sonore”, a concert that will thrill with the music of composers such as Zimmer, Williams and Rota.
