ROME (ITALPRESS) – Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed firm and total condemnation of the brutal aggression against Ukraine, reiterating her full support for the Ukrainian people since the beginning of the conflict on 24 February 2022.
Freedom: The Most Precious Resource
Meloni stressed the importance of choosing a side in times of crisis, saying that freedom is “the most precious thing that every human being has.”
Defense of President Mattarella
The Prime Minister also defended the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, highlighting her constant presence alongside the Head of State whenever he is attacked for having remembered who the aggressors and who the attacked are.
Timing of Statements
Meloni's statements were released during communications in the Senate in view of the European Council scheduled for 20 and 21 March, highlighting the Italian government's commitment on the international scene.

I don't know if President Meloni's words are strong enough to convince everyone to support the Ukrainians. Freedom is very important but it must be defended effectively and not just with words, in my opinion.
