Article Key Points
A 19-year-old sailor was placed under house arrest on charges of mistreating and kidnapping his ex-partner, a 17-year-old.
From the investigations conducted by the Carabinieri of Torre del Greco and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata, it emerged that their relationship, marked by obsessive jealousy on the part of the young man, turned into an ordeal for the girl.
The violence, which began during the young woman's pregnancy, is said to have intensified over time, resulting in an attempted kidnapping that led to the violent road accident.
The girl had decided to end the relationship
The girl had in fact decided to end the relationship with that violent boy but last September the sailor had shown up at the girl's house and after having forcibly taken her away he had forced her to get into his car.
During a crazy race through the streets of Torre del Greco, the young man lost control of the car, which ended up crashing into the external wall of a house and overturning.
Following the road accident, both were injured and the girl suffered a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula, remaining hospitalized for several days, for which reason the suspect is also charged with the crime of serious personal injury in a road accident.
The victim, hospitalized for the serious injuries sustained, found the strength to report her tormentor, putting an end to a nightmare lasted too long.
The testimonies collected and the objective evidence have allowed us to reconstruct a solid evidentiary framework against the arrested young sailor.
In addition to the serious injuries sustained in the car accident, the girl will have to face a long recovery process to overcome the trauma she experienced.
