EAV reports: "Circumvesuviana train stopped due to breakdown, delays, and cancellations." A train was stopped due to a breakdown at the Via Viuli station, forcing passengers to transfer to another train.

Due to the fault, numerous journeys were severely delayed, while others were cancelled, creating inconvenience for the users of the Circumvesuviana.

Travelers continued on the 18:16 train from Naples to Sorrento, but EAV reports that the 17:50 trains from Naples to Poggiomarino, 17:50 from Sorrento to Naples and 18:16 from Naples to Sorrento are running more than 40 minutes late. Some trips on the Naples-Torre Annunziata route have been cancelled.
