During the assembly of the Limone Costa d'Amalfi PGI consortium, a heated discussion degenerated into a violent brawl, interrupting the proceedings at Palazzo Mezzacapo. The protagonists of the episode were two well-known lemon distributors, one from Minori and the other from Conca dei Marini, who came to blows in the corridor, creating moments of great tension and forcing the police to intervene.
According to some reports, more than the lemons of the Amalfi Coast, at the centre of the dispute were the "beatings", so much so that it was necessary to suspend the meeting, which was then postponed to Tuesday 26 November.
Despite the incident, no complaints have been filed and there will be no criminal proceedings or lawsuits at the Amalfi Court. However, the news has left many shocked by the absurdity of the situation.

It's incredible how a meeting to talk about lemons can turn into such a violent brawl. I don't understand how two distributors can get to this point, especially for something that should be peaceful.
