The last appointment of the Walks in the Center of Sorrento took place yesterday morning, an event included in the program “Mi illumino d'inverno”. The final day saw enthusiastic participation with an itinerary, “Passeggiata archeologica”, which included the new archaeological section of the Correale Museum, offering those present a journey through the history and the millenary charm of the Sorrento Peninsula.
The President of the Sorrento City Council, Luigi Di Prisco, always active especially in the cultural, environmental and sustainability fields: “This cycle of walks was an extraordinary success, allowing citizens and visitors to immerse themselves in the history, culture and traditions of our land.
+These events not only enhance our heritage, but also represent an opportunity to build quality and conscious tourism. Special thanks go to Vincenzo Astarita, an expert guide who was able to involve and fascinate the participants, making each stop a unique experience.”
The walks, which began on December 15th with the discovery of the Sorrento today and continued on December 22nd with a tribute to the great men of letters and artists who contributed to the prestige of the city, concluded today with an extraordinary immersion in the archaeology and memories of ancient Sorrento.
“With this initiative – concluded Di Prisco – we wanted to strengthen the bond between the local community and the territory, offering moments of culture and aggregation that enriched the Christmas calendar”.

It was a very nice event that brought so many people together to discover the history of Sorrento. Even though I couldn't go, I felt that the walks were interesting and well organized. I hope there will be more events like this in the future.
