The State Police arrested, on Tuesday evening in the Fuorigrotta neighborhood, two criminals accused of destruction of a corpse aggravated by mafia methods. The measure was carried out following a precautionary custody order issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
The investigation concerns the murder of Gennaro Ramondino, which occurred last September 1st in the Pianura neighborhood. The victim was killed by gunshots inside a basement used as a drug dealing area. Previously, the Naples Flying Squad had already arrested the alleged perpetrator of the crime and another individual accused of personal aiding and abetting and destruction of a corpse, also with the aggravating circumstance of the mafia method.
This is a sixteen-year-old childhood friend of Ramondino who during a dramatic interrogation confessed to the murder, explaining that the adults had ordered it and that he did not want to do it. Today the two accomplices Paolo Equabile and Nunzio Rizzo ended up in prison.
The first belongs to the well-known Camorra family of Pianura who have been independently managing a drug dealing hub for years.
According to the investigators' reconstructions, the two arrested were at the crime scene at the time of the murder and acted immediately afterwards to eliminate all traces. They removed the body, transporting it by car to an isolated area of the countryside, where it was then burned to prevent identification.
