The mayor of Pozzuoli, Gigi Manzoni, spoke about the strong earthquake that struck at dawn today in the Campi Felgrei area, followed by two other minor shocks.
"There's no one on the streets, according to the Municipal Police and Civil Protection volunteers. I've been monitoring the situation with the director of the INGV, who confirmed that the phenomenon is normal."
The mayor explained: shock of magnitude 3.4 occurred at 5.33 am in the Campi Flegrei area with its epicentre between Pozzuoli and Bagnoli.
"The seismic activity has eased, but it certainly hasn't stopped. Therefore, we and the institutions are paying maximum attention, and we continue to carry out the activities required by the decrees, doing everything that needs to be done locally," Gigi Manzoni was keen to point out.

The mayor said there are no people on the streets, but I don't see how they can be sure of that. The shock was strong and it worries me that people continue to say that everything is normal. Maybe they should do more.
