Dawn of fear for the citizens of Campi Flegrei who were awakened by a strong earthquake of magnitude 3.4. Some took to the streets despite the cold, many bombarded the switchboards of the fire brigade and civil protection with phone calls.
The note from the Vesuvius Observatory reads: "The sensors have recorded a new powerful earthquake at Campi Flegrei at 5.33.59 am on 6/12/2024.
Updates will follow Update for @all the main event of the seismic swarm has a preliminary magnitude of 3.4 +/- 0.3 depth 0.5 km and epicenter Pozzuoli Gerolamini".
To this shock two more followed: one of magnitude 1.4 at 5,37 and the third of magnitude 1.3 at 6.19. Many citizens are commenting on social media about the tremors that were also clearly felt in many neighborhoods of Naples

It is a bit disturbing to see that there were these earthquakes in Campi Flegrei. We hope that there is no serious damage and that people are fine. The situation must be monitored carefully to avoid panic.
