Rue Diego, an emerging figure in Neapolitan urban music and known as the “Principino delle Vele” of Scampia, has announced the release of his first EP, entitled “Riscatto”. The album, which will be distributed by Epic Records/Sony Music Italy, will be available on all digital platforms starting Friday, January 31.
EP Details
The eight-track EP includes a mix of previously released singles and six new songs. Notable collaborations include Papa V on the dark, message-driven track “VIEN,” and Artie 5ive on “MILLY,” which explores consumerism and excess with evocative language.
Rue Diego's message
Rue Diego describes “Riscatto” as a reflection of his personal experiences and ambitions. The EP is not just a title, but a symbol of his transformation and aspirations. The artist expresses his desire to emerge from the difficulties he experienced in Vele, and invites those who share similar experiences to join him on this journey. Universal themes such as the search for recognition, the connection with money and relational dynamics are addressed with his unmistakable energy, offering a frank representation of his reality and that of his community.
Biography
Rue Diego made his debut in September 2021 with the single “Guai”, which allowed him to attract the attention of audiences and critics. In June 2022, he collaborated with Skugnizz, LilTony and Reynar Blume on the song “167”. Subsequently, he released “Parln e Kekk 2” and “RION” in 2022, followed by “Diego” and “ARO STAJE” in 2023. He joined Young Slash in “PRIMMO AMMORE” and, on October 7, 2023, performed at Red Bull 64 Bars Live in Naples, alongside big names in Italian rap. With works such as “MEGL SI TE NE VAI”, “CHIU AVT”, and the recent “Vien” and “Milly”, Rue Diego continues to consolidate his position in the Italian rap scene.

It's a nice project that of Rue Diego, I like how he deals with the themes and his story. We hope that the EP 'Riscatto' brings a strong message for those who live similar situations. Music must be a means of expression.
