On the eve of the derby against Milan, Simone Inzaghi took stock of the race title and on the challenges that await his Inter: “We, the Napoli and we took an advantage against Atalanta, we are the three favourites at the moment, but let's not forget who is behind and can get back into the race", declared the Nerazzurri coach.
On the transfer market front, Inzaghi admitted that he has not yet addressed the issue with the management, although he acknowledged the need for some reinforcements. “Two young players left because they needed to play, now we have some difficulty in terms of numbers and we will certainly do something in terms of incoming players”, he explained, referring to the departures of Palacios and Buchanan.
Another hot topic concerns the calendar, which promises to be particularly intense for Inter. The coach expressed his disappointment with the scheduling of the Coppa Italia, which will force the Nerazzurri to give up precious days of training. "Now there is the recovery with Fiorentina, then the Coppa Italia inserted in a particular date. We thought we could work better in February, instead we will continue to play always"he stressed.
Despite the difficulties, Inzaghi He assured that the team is ready to manage the busy schedule, accepting the decisions taken regarding the calendar. “I was told that an agreement had been signed to play at the first available date, so that’s fair enough. Now we have a tour de force ahead of us, but no problem: we’ll be ready”.
