A deep sorrow has struck Corrado Ferlaino, historic president of Napoli for 33 years, architect of numerous sporting triumphs. His daughter Tiziana, architect and administrator of the Miglio d'Oro Park Hotel in Ercolano, a structure of the Ferlaino Group, passed away at the age of 68.
Tiziana, who in recent years had dedicated herself to managing the family business and organizing events at the Ercolano hotel, told the newspaper Il Mattino about a dramatic episode last March: while she was eating a sandwich in a bar in Mergellina, she risked dying of suffocation, but was saved thanks to the Heimlich maneuver performed by two financial police officers.
The news of his passing was given this morning by the Facebook page of the Hotel Miglio d'Oro. Where it reads:
“The Miglio d’Oro Family mourns the passing of Tiziana Ferlaino. With immense sorrow we announce the loss of Tiziana Ferlaino, administrator of the Miglio d’Oro Park Hotel.
A woman of extraordinary energy, passion and vision, Tiziana led this reality with dedication and love, leaving an indelible mark in every corner of our structure and in the hearts of those who had the privilege of working with her.
In this moment of deep sadness, the owners, the management and all the staff of the Miglio d'Oro gather around the father Corrado, the mother Flora, the brother Giulio, the children Elisabetta and Corrado Jr and the entire Ferlaino family, demonstrating sincere affection and immense gratitude.
Tiziana will continue to live in the beauty of the place that she has carefully guarded, in the smiles of her collaborators, in the memory of every guest that she welcomed with the warmth that distinguished her. We will miss her every day. With respect and love. The Miglio d'Oro Park Hotel”.
The funeral of architect Tiziana Ferlaino will be held tomorrow at the church of Santa Lucia a mare at 17 pm.
