Santa Maria Capua Vetere – A full-scale operation by the Carabinieri of the Company of Sdoor Maria Capua Vetere, with the support of the Caserta Labor Inspectorate and the Sarno dog units, led to sanctions and reports in several commercial establishments in the center and neighboring municipalities.
Illegal work and denied safety: huge fine for a bakery. The checks, which began in the early hours of the day, particularly concerned a bakery in the Brezza di Grazzanise district.
Here the military discovered a foreign worker without a residence permit; lack of health surveillance for employees; insufficient training in workplace safety for a worker.
The sole director was reported at large, while administrative sanctions of 19.263 euros were imposed.
In Santa Maria Capua Vetere, the checks moved to a phone shop, where drug-sniffing dogs led to an unexpected seizure: a 22 cm fixed-blade knife was found in the car of the owner, a 21-year-old of Senegalese origins. The man was reported for illegal possession of weapons.
During the checks, the Carabinieri also identified a 47-year-old local man, already under special surveillance, who was illegally on the street in violation of the imposed prescriptions. He was also reported.
The operation confirms the Arma's commitment to combating irregular work, poor security and widespread illegality in the Caserta hinterland.
