IThe Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere has ordered the revocation of the obligation to remain in residence for a well-known 41-year-old entrepreneur from Airola, accused of resisting arrest, violence, threats and injuries to a public official, as well as the possession and carrying of an illegal weapon.
The decision was made by the Single Judge, Dr. Zullo, accepting the requests of the defense attorney Vittorio Fucci.
The man was arrested red-handed by the Caserta Police, initially ending up under house arrest. According to the prosecution, the entrepreneur would have violently resisted the control of two State Police officers, refusing to provide documents and causing injuries to the officers, reported in hospital.
He also allegedly threatened to kill the police officers, attempting to pull out a 14-centimeter-long double-bladed knife. Once at the police station, he continued to resist, damaging part of the offices.
At the validation hearing, the Judge, at the request of the lawyer Fucci, had already revoked the house arrest, replacing it with the obligation to report to the Judicial Police. However, the entrepreneur had not respected this measure, failing to sign at the PG, which had led to an aggravation with the obligation to reside in Airola.
Yesterday, with the new ruling of the Court, the man was released completely, thanks to the acceptance of the defense arguments presented by the lawyer Fucci.
