Rome – The heat wave that is hitting Italy is intensifying. For Thursday, June 12, the bulletin from the Ministry of Health predicts a level 2 alert (orange dot) for Rome, Bolzano, Campobasso, Frosinone, Perugia and Rieti, reporting weather conditions that may represent a risk to health, especially for the most vulnerable groups.
Another 12 cities, however, will be under a yellow warning (level 1, pre-alert): Ancona, Bologna, Brescia, Florence, Latina, Messina, Milan, Naples, Reggio Calabria, Turin, Verona and Viterbo.
The report, updated daily by the Ministry, monitors 27 provincial capitals with 24, 48 and 72-hour forecasts, providing indications on the possible effects of the heat on the population.
