Giugliano is launching a new cultural initiative with Street Book, an event that will liven up Piazza Antonio Gramsci from September 3 to 13, 2026. For eleven days, the town center will become a hub for lovers of reading and culture, thanks to 14 stands dedicated to publishing, open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The event, organized by Aps Il Cortile delle Idee and Libreria Claudio, also involves associations, businesses, and cultural organizations from the local area and neighboring municipalities, with the aim of transforming a public space into a place of encounter and participation. The program includes book presentations, meetings with authors, discussions, music, and children's activities, making culture accessible and vibrant outside of traditional bookstores.

Involvement isn't limited to the organizers: schools, artists, and local publishing houses will actively participate in the event, helping to create a direct dialogue with the public.

The Municipality of Giugliano is supporting the initiative with financial support, supported by Culture Councilor Marco Sepe, who helped include the Street Book in the city's calendar.

The event's culmination will be on Sunday, September 13th, with the participation of Raffaele Cantone, Public Prosecutor and a prominent figure in the national judicial system, known for his commitment to fighting organized crime and his personal ties to the town of Giugliano. His presence underscores the symbolic and cultural value of the event for the local community.
