Extraordinary checks were carried out in Secondigliano and San Pietro a Patierno: illegal shacks were seized and foreign tobacco vendors were fined.

Yesterday morning, an extraordinary territorial patrol operation covered the Secondigliano and San Pietro a Patierno neighborhoods in Naples. The operation, coordinated by the Naples Police Headquarters, involved State Police officers from the Secondigliano Police Station, members of the Guardia di Finanza's Rapid Response Unit, and personnel from the Fire Department and the Campania Crime Prevention Unit.

During the operations, 54 people were identified, 12 of whom had previous police records, and 25 vehicles were checked, with one reported for violating the Highway Code.

Particular attention was paid to the illegal sale of foreign tobacco products without the State Monopoly mark: two individuals were administratively fined for this irregularity. One of the two was also fined for illegal occupation of public land, as he operated his business inside a shack built without a permit.

During the operations, thanks also to the collaboration of ASIA personnel, in addition to the offending shack, two other illegal structures were removed.

The intervention is aimed at combating widespread illegal activity in neighborhoods, including illegal vending and the unauthorized occupation of public spaces, amid increased law enforcement.
