Rome – In the Report case, Claudia Di Pasquale is ready to replace Giulia Presutti, who stepped down last night following cross-examinations by Sigfrido Ranucci and the Report journalists.
An official announcement is still pending, but Claudia Di Pasquale's name has reportedly received approval from the program's editorial staff, given that she is one of its longtime correspondents. She is expected to work alongside Daniele Piervincenzi, who, despite the attacks, has remained waiting for the situation to calm down. The compromise between RAI executives and Report's correspondents is, therefore, that Di Pasquale has been a correspondent for the program since 2011, having also collaborated with Milena Gabanelli. Over the past 15 years, she has covered numerous investigations into politics, healthcare, organized crime, and the management of public resources.
Bernardo Iovene and Giulio Valesini were also summoned by the director of Approfondimenti Paolo Corsini, who will likely ask them to reevaluate the offer of the role of chief writer to work alongside the two hosts.
Iovene and Valesini had refused the offer in protest against the choice of Presutti and Piervincenzi.
