The historic Villa Doria d'Angri in Naples is transformed into a stage for contemporary art with Domenico Sepe's solo exhibition, titled "Myth, Form, Revelation," which opens to the public on September 16, 2026.

The exhibition, curated by Ferdinando Sorrentino and promoted by the Parthenope University of Naples, focuses on the artistic journey of Sepe, a sculptor and teacher who blends traditional sculpture with a contemporary language.

The exhibited works, primarily made of bronze and aluminum, materials dear to the artist, explore myth not as a mere memory, but as a living material that lends itself to new interpretations. The relationship between the sculptures and the architecture of Villa Doria d'Angri becomes an integral part of the exhibition, sparking a dialogue between history, form, and space. Site-specific installations and photographic prints expand the exhibition experience, focusing on the juxtaposition of material and symbol.

The inauguration will be accompanied by a talk by Professor Umberto Franzese on the theme "The Beauty of Beauty," which will open a discussion with the public on the meaning of beauty in contemporary art. During the exhibition, Domenico Sepe will meet with students from Parthenope University to explore the techniques, materials, and creative processes of sculpture.

And at the opening of the exhibition, there will be a greeting from the rector of the University of Naples Parthenope, Professor Antonio Garofalo.

The exhibition is also supported by several local cultural and production organizations, including the Non Me Ne Vado Cultural Association, the Naples Biennale, Dama Daphne Museum Art, Sud Avicola, and ARTUR. Visitors will be welcomed with a convivial moment featuring traditional Neapolitan products offered by Antica Panetteria dal 1956.

“Myth, Form, Revelation” is therefore intended as an experience that goes beyond simple exhibition, becoming a meeting of eras and languages, a journey between historical memory and current sensibilities, in which sculpture becomes a bridge between matter and idea, inviting the public to discover the transformative beauty of art.
