Ercolano. Sweeping checks and prison order for a member of the Ascione clan.
Roberto Acampora, a 44-year-old from Torre del Greco, believed to be close to the Ascione – Papale clan, ended up in handcuffs. Already under house arrest, Acampora was arrested in execution of a prison order issued by the Court of Naples. He will have to serve 5 years, 7 months and 10 days of imprisonment for the crimes of robbery and extortion committed on November 22, 2018 in Ercolano.
A 35-year-old from Ercolano, also believed to be close to the same clan, was reported at liberty for violating the measure of probation to which he is subjected. He was stopped on the street during a traffic check and found in the company of a person with a police record.
The carabinieri of the Torre del Greco company they also arrested a 34-year-old local man for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. He was checked in Via Pugliano and found in possession of a 98-gram block of hashish. In his home, however, the carabinieri found 4 grams of marijuana and various materials for packaging the doses. The 34-year-old, judged with a summary trial, was given a sentence – with the benefit of suspension – of one year in prison and a 3 euro fine.

There was no shortage of traffic violations, most of which for lack of insurance coverage and driving without a helmet, 27 vehicles and 65 people were checked, 5 of which were fined for violations of the anti-contagion regulations. The checks will continue today.
