Mr James, the fake English teacher, sentenced
A sentence of one year and eleven months of imprisonment, in addition to the payment of a 600 euro fine, has arrived for “Mr James”, the fake professor who had managed to teach English in public and private schools despite not having a degree and not having any qualifications. The sentence was issued last June 24 by Judge Marina Napolitano of the Court of Naples North.
Trevor John Addison had taught in several public schools, winning competitive exams to the detriment of other English teachers who actually had qualifications and whom he promptly surpassed with his own completely invented curriculum. In fact, his documentation indicated a degree in psychology and refresher courses for English teachers which, upon examination by the judiciary, were found to be non-existent

The complaints against the man, a native of Cambridge and resident in Aversa, began in 2016 after he won two public tenders, both issued by the Enrico Fermi scientific high school in Aversa. Following the appeal to the TAR presented by other participants, “Mister James” did not want to defend himself before the administrative judges and let everything lapse by resigning from both positions, thus avoiding that trial in which he would have had to present the qualifications included in his curriculum vitae.
The list of schools where he worked is numerous: in addition to the 'Fermi' of Aversa we find the institute "Cimarosa", the "Stanzione" of Orta di Atella, the Itc "Corrente" of Casoria and many others, including private institutes of the Aversa countryside. The charges he had to answer to and for which he was convicted range from fraud against the State to false declaration of identity, with the aggravating circumstance provided for by the penal code.
