Two lifeguard dogs save 15-year-old in the waters of Palinuro. It happened yesterday.
A fifteen year old girl was saved by two lifeguard dogs. It happened yesterday in the sea of Palinuro, part of the Municipality of Centola since Cilento. The girl had dived into the water around 17pm with some friends when she was dragged out to sea by strong currents.
Rescue operations were immediately launched and the young woman was reached by Labrador Igor and Luna and their human companions of the “Italian School of Rescue Dogs”, who have been contributing to patrolling the Palinuro coast for years.
Secured by Baywatch, Ilenia, this is the name of the fifteen year old, holding on to the lifeguards on all fours and was then brought back to shore where she was able to hug her friends.
In these days in Palinuro six canine units of the Italian School for Rescue Dogs (SICS), divided into three security stations, with the coordination of the Coast Guard and of the municipal administration, led by Mayor Carmelo Stanziola.
