Napoli. Naples Deputy Prosecutor Gloria Sanseverino has requested life imprisonment for Vittorio Albano, believed to be the perpetrator of the murder of Gaetano Arrigo, the illegal parking attendant killed on June 17, 2016 in Bagnoli because he refused to pay a bribe to the D'Ausilio clan.
Harsh requests have also been made for many other members of the Bagnoli clan: 18 years in prison for Felice D'Ausilio, 20 years for Antonio D'Ausilio, 16 years for Alessandro De Falco, 10 years for Giuseppe De Falco, 12 years for Biagio Ciccarelli, 8 years for Eugenio Ciotola, 4 years for Pasqualina Cirella, 3 years for D'Alterio Concetta, 12 years for Romualdo Diomede, 12 years for Gaetano Fiorentino, 16 years for Aniello Mosella, 4 years for Gianluca Noto, 3 years for Maria Poerio, 8 years for Daniele Raiano, 5 years for Grazia Sarnelli and 12 years for Lucian Mihai Stanica.
Arrigo's murder took place in the midst of a feud between the D'Ausilio clan and the criminal group led by Alessandro Giannelli, who had been arrested a few months earlier at a service station on the A1 motorway while driving north in a car to escape the police who were looking for him.
“Requests for sentences that are more than fair, only with severe sentences and the certainty that they are applied to the end can the Camorra phenomenon be seriously and decisively countered. The Arrigo affair is a clear demonstration of the control that the clans exercise over the illegal parking business and that they are ready to do anything not to lose it because it is a source of great profits.
For this reason, by decisively contrasting the phenomenon of illegal parking attendants, we are going to hit the Camorra hard, in their wallets and in the control of the territory. There is no more time to hesitate, we must be decisive” – declared the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
