Qalmost a thousand in the square against the biodigester: the mobilization
Many citizens were present with their children, representatives of committees and associations that fight for environmental recovery, the mayors of the area, and the parish priest of Caivano, Don Maurizio Patriciello.
Nearly a thousand people took part in the demonstration in Gricignano d'Aversa to say "no" to the construction of a biodigester that should treat 110 thousand tons of organic waste. Many citizens with their children, representatives of committees and associations that fight for environmental recovery, the mayors of the area, and the parish priest of Caivano were present Don Maurizio Patriciello, always at the forefront of environmental protection.
The mayor of Gricignano, Vincent Saint Agatha, expressed a firm no “on behalf of all citizens because this territory has already paid a lot in environmental terms, between legal and illegal landfills, waste plants that are always polluting”.
The company is building the biodigester Environment Campania, controlled by Sersys Environment, a company from Rivoli (Turin) specialized in offering environmental services.
On October 12th there will be a conference of services on the construction of the biodigester, and at that time all the various components present at the demonstration today will reiterate their clear opposition to the plant.
