Piazzolla di Nola, they try to steal petrol from a car: two men arrested following a tip from a citizen who spotted them tinkering near his parked car
Last night, the officers of the Nola Police Station and the Carabinieri of the Nola Company's Radiomobile Unit, during their territorial control service, intervened in via Costantinopoli in Piazzolla di Nola following a report of a citizen who had surprised two men who, after getting out of a car, were fiddling around near his parked vehicle.
The operators, once on site, noticed the damaged fuel cap and the fuel leaking out and, thanks to the descriptions provided by the victim, they tracked down the criminals' car parked in Via XX Settembre and, not far away, they reached and stopped the two who were walking away.
Furthermore, two knives, a screwdriver and a plastic bottle cut in half to be used as a funnel were found on board their vehicle.
Saverio del Giudice and Costantino Prisco, aged 43 and 24 from San Giuseppe Vesuviano with criminal records, were arrested for attempted aggravated theft and damage.
