The Carabinieri of the Melito di Napoli branch seized an apartment in the municipality of Aversa that had been transformed into a brothel.
The seizure by order of the Court of Naples North. On June 3 of last year, the military dismantled a criminal association aimed at the exploitation, aiding and abetting of prostitution and, in conjunction with nine other people involved in various capacities in the investigation, for a plurality of crimes - aiming at aiding and exploiting prostitution.
The property was used by the criminal organization to exploit the proceeds of sexual services that young women offered at affordable prices, including through social media.
The apartment, inside which prostitution was practiced, has been placed under seizure and is destined for confiscation.
Among the five people subject to the precautionary measure arrested last June are two sisters, one of whom plays the role of promoter and organizer of the association.
The associates managed the proceeds of prostitution, leaving the prostitutes only the share identified as due to them, quantified as 50% of the overall earnings. The two sisters coordinated the activity of the other participants, each with very specific tasks, including those aimed at reaching a greater number of clients by publishing online ads, offering technical support to the prostitutes to improve the images associated with the profiles present in the various ads, and providing indications on the most effective ways of approaching the client by telephone in order to make the clients' visits to their homes increasingly frequent.
Furthermore, one of the associates supervised the periodic movement of prostitutes from one house to another and kept watch at one of the homes to prevent any problems from arising with the clientele.
The prostitutes, all of foreign nationality, were placed by the associates inside the properties found from time to time to be used for the illicit activity and equipped specifically for the needs related to prostitution. Depending on the type of service requested and the area of origin of the client, the latter was directed, mainly by the two sisters, towards one or the other home.
When the client did not know the area he was going to well enough, he was given detailed information over the telephone to help him reach the home where he was supposed to meet one or more women involved in prostitution.
At the same time as the execution of the precautionary measures, searches were also ordered and carried out in four homes still used as brothels, in order to acquire further evidence and put an end to the illegal activity ascertained.
