Sthe number of Covid-239 infections in Campania prisons drops to 19. Specifically, in addition to the 136 infected prison officers, the positive inmates have become only five in the Poggioreale prison, two of whom are hospitalized in Cotugno.
In Secondigliano, 36 inmates have currently been infected, in Santa Maria Capua Vetere 41, in Avellino 43, in Carinola 56, in Ariano Irpino 19, in Pozzuoli 36, in Salerno 3 and no infections in the remaining prisons in Campania.

These numbers ease tensions among inmates, among prison police officers and among prison staff, but they do not absolve either the omissions of politics or the superficiality of the prison administration department. The usual problems remain: overcrowding and the lack of personnel, both in the prison police and in educators and in social figures in prisons. There is also a lack of real projects for the social reintegration of prisoners and ex-prisoners”.
