The Aversa group's financial police identified and followed an old utility vehicle, a sports wagon from the 450s. The vehicle was then subjected to a check by the military who discovered, packed in the trunk and hidden on the back seat, numerous sealed envelopes containing over XNUMX items of clothing bearing the trademarks of well-known designers, not accompanied by any tax documentation.
In the home of the car owner, in Orta di Atella, a clandestine laboratory equipped for the mass production of counterfeit clothing was discovered. During the subsequent inspection, the military discovered hundreds of other items of clothing, also of evidently illicit origin, thus seizing the entire warehouse, for a total of over 2 thousand pieces.
In addition to the goods, the financial police also seized the machinery used for production, including a heat press that was used to transfer the brand's adhesive hologram to be reproduced on clothing items that were found to be of poor quality and lacked the minimum safety requirements required by law. The owner of the clandestine factory, a sixty-year-old, was reported at large to the Naples North prosecutor's office.
