The epidemic curve in Italy is still rising. The new cases Covid there are 76.250, compared to 79.895 yesterday but above all the 53.127 of last Friday: a weekly increase of 44%.
The swabs processed are 490.883 (yesterday 529.882), with a positivity rate that rises from 15,1% to 15,5%. The deaths are 165 (yesterday 128): the total victims since the beginning of the pandemic are 157.607. Hospitalizations are slightly increasing: intensive care is one more (yesterday -4) with 47 admissions for the day, and totals reach 474, while ordinary hospitalizations increase by 6 units (yesterday -13), 8.403 in total.
This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health. The region with the highest number of cases today is Lazio with 9.004 infections, followed by Lombardy (+8.555), Puglia (+8.521), Campania (+8.409) and Veneto (+6.061). The total cases reach 13.724.411.
The discharged/recovered in the last 24 hours are 46.408 (yesterday 34.050) for a total that rises to 12.446.583. The currently positive cases are still increasing, 32.004 more (yesterday +34.050), and they rise to 1.120.221. Of these 1.111.344 patients are in home isolation.
