Napoli. On Thursday and Friday, the officers of the Secondigliano Police Station, personnel of the Municipal Police and of the ASL NA1, with the support of the Campania Crime Prevention Department, of the Nibbio of the General Prevention Office and of the Mobile Department, carried out an extraordinary service of territorial control in the Secondigliano district, in particular in corso Secondigliano, via della Bussola, via Rosa dei Venti and via Sant'Andrea Avellino.
During the operation, 162 people were identified, 53 of whom had a police record, 130 motor vehicles were checked, 15 of which were subjected to administrative seizure for lack of insurance coverage, 29 motorcycles, 3 of which were seized and one subjected to administrative detention because it was uninsured; 38 violations of the Highway Code were also contested for driving without a license, failure to undergo revision and failure to show circulation documents.
On Thursday evening, the operators checked a commercial establishment in Corso Secondigliano, fining four employees for not having a “green pass” and reporting them to the Territorial Labor Inspectorate of Naples because they were all irregular.
In addition, that same evening, the police stopped, after a brief chase in via Sant'Andrea Avellino, a motorcyclist who, to elude the control, had fled and was found in possession of a 10 cm long metal knuckle duster. The young man, a 19-year-old Neapolitan with a police record, was reported for resisting a public official, carrying weapons or objects capable of causing offence and driving without a license; the motorcycle was also seized because it had no insurance coverage.
Finally, on Friday morning in Via della Bussola, 12 cars and motorcycles were recovered, all abandoned and without insurance coverage, while, in Via Rosa dei Venti, the police checked a person and found him in possession of 106 packets of foreign manufactured tobacco without the State Monopoly mark, weighing over 2 kg.
The man, a 23-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record, was reported for smuggling foreign manufactured tobacco.
