From San Giovanni to Teduccio they supplied half of Southern Italy with hashish: the maxi bitz is triggered, 30 ordinances. The links to import the drugs from Spain.
This morning the staff of the Flying Squad, of the Police Station of St. John – Barra and of the Company Carabinieri of Marcianise, executed a precautionary order issued by the GIP at the Court of Naples at the request of the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against 30 suspects (23 in prison, 5 under house arrest and 2 required to report to the judicial police).
They are all accused of the crimes of association dedicated to drug trafficking, as well as numerous episodes of possession and sale of narcotic substances.
The precautionary measure is based on the results of two distinct investigative lines followed, respectively, by the San Giovanni Police Station and the Marcianise Carabinieri Company, which have allowed the existence of a criminal association aimed at drug trafficking, mainly of the hashish type, headed by the suspects Alessandro Russo and Luigi Pagano, operating in the San Giovanni a Teduccio district of Naples, precisely in the area between St. John a Teduccio Street e Street of the Maritime Republics.
The organization, which also boasts drug supply links with the Spain, is one of the main squares of hashish dealing of the Neapolitan area and a point of reference for the wholesale purchase of large quantities of narcotics, which is turned to by many buyers also coming from areas different from Campania, as well as from Puglia and even from Sicilia.
The investigative activities, consisting of technical interception activities and video recording activities using cameras - both of which were confirmed in the field through numerous arrests and seizures carried out by the investigating police - allowed the reconstruction of the organisation's organizational chart, its structure - highlighting a precise distribution of roles and tasks among the participants - as well as identifying various “stable buyers” of large quantities of narcotics, as well as the methods of implementing the so-called 'dealing' at the minute.
