AUTUNNO OPEN AIR begins at the Teatro dei Piccoli in Naples. On September 3 and 4 at 17 pm the first appointments with the show Premio In-box Verde 2021 and the stories of Rodari.
Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 September 2022 at 17pm – workshops start at 16pm.
The 2021 In-Box Verde Award show “Panettieri paura” and “Le storie di Cipollino” inspired by the world of Rodari inaugurate the AUTUMN OPEN AIR at the Teatro dei Piccoli in the equipped pine forest of the Mostra d'Oltremare.

Theater, animated foot puppets and interactive workshops for children aged 3 and up, and families, in the first weekend of September which also marks the start of the AUTUNNO OPEN AIR 2022 program in the pine forest of the Teatro dei Piccoli in Naples. The festival will accompany the public every weekend until the end of October with more than 20 titles including shows and concerts produced by guest companies from all over Italy, and titles belonging to the repertoire of the organizing companies Casa del Contemporaneo/Le Nuvole, I Teatrini, Progetto Sonora who take care of the realization in agreement with the Municipality of Naples and the direction of the Mostra d'Oltremare within the broader program of Campania is promoted by AGIS and Regione Campania.
A program for the whole family, still outdoors, that combines the charm of the performing arts with the more authentically playful moments of the workshops (starting one hour before the start and included in the €8 entrance ticket) with spaces and opportunities for free play and also a pleasant snack break in the terrace bar.
First appointment Saturday 3 September at 17 pm with the show Premio In Box Verde 2021 “PANETTIERI SPAVENTTATI” by and with Francesco Zamboni and Andrea Meroni of the Collettivo Clown who bring on stage dangerous acrobatics with circus ambitions using those baker's tools that will increase the fun in the audience of young and old. Sunday 4 September, again at 17 pm, the great return of “LE STORIE DI CIPOLLINO” by Casa del Contemporaneo/Le Nuvole inspired by the adventures born from the imagination of Gianni Rodari with Rosanna Gagliotti and Francesco Di Gennaro and the animated foot puppets created by Fabio Lastrucci and Selvaggia Filippini. “Discovering what scoundrels like King Lemon are like: this is Cipollino's mission – says Enzo Musicò, author of the staging – And to do so the only way is to go around the world, listening to stories and treasure them. By observing the lives of others, Cipollino will discover that abuse and injustice are everywhere. And that only by sharing those experiences – for better or for worse – will a solution be found. For everyone”.
The double appointment will continue on Saturday 10 September at 11.30 and Sunday 11 September at 17 of the animated story by Claudio Milani DROPS, UNICORNS AND RAINBOW. On the same weekend, Saturday 10 September at 17 LE FAVOLE DELLA SEGGEZZA, a well-known production by I Teatrini by Giovanna Facciolo, and Sunday 11 September at 11.30 DISCOVERING THE RHYTHMIC INSTRUMENTARY, a concert-workshop by Progetto Sonora. Another double event on Saturday 17 September at 11.30 am with IL POPOLO DEL BOSCO by I Teatrini and at 17 pm the true legend of Rock 'n' Roll by I 4 MUSICANTI DI BREMA by the Nata Teatro company, followed on Sunday 18 September at 11.30 am by the concert for the very young by the Sonora PICCOLA MUSICA project and at 17 pm by the timeless story of puppets in a shack PULCINELLA CHE PASSIONE by Casa del Contemporaneo. The last weekend of the month will host the musical project LA STORIA DELL'ELEFANTINO BABAR and PIERINO E IL LUPO by Progetto Sonora on Saturday 24 September at 11.30 am and at 17 pm PROVACI ANCORA POLDO a circus show by Il Tappeto di Iqbal while on Sunday 25 September there will be a double appointment at 11.30 am and 17 pm with the actor and puppet theatre PAPERO ALFREDO by ATGTP di Jesi.
But this is just the beginning! The AUTUNNO OPEN AIR events continue until October. In case of bad weather the events will be moved inside the theater.
