Threats via social media to ex-partner: 36-year-old man from Santa Maria la Carità arrested.
The Carabinieri of the Castellammare di Stabia Company, in execution of an order implementing the precautionary measure of custody in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Torre Annunziata, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, arrested the 36-year-old DA, as he was seriously suspected of the crime of "stalking" against his ex-partner.
The investigation activity, carried out by the military of the Gragnano Carabinieri Station and coordinated by this Public Prosecutor's Office, has made it possible to ascertain that the man arrested today, in July 2022, repeatedly threatened and harassed his ex-partner, generating in her a lasting and serious state of anxiety and a well-founded fear for her safety, to the point of forcing her to change her lifestyle habits.
These stalking acts allegedly took place through social networks, which the arrested man allegedly used to contact the victim both with accounts directly attributable to him and through fictitious profiles.
The suspect also allegedly used social media to discredit his ex-partner's reputation, sharing numerous photographs of her, accompanied by denigrating phrases.
Furthermore, the arrested person, on several occasions, through threats, both via social media and by personally showing up at the home of the parents of the injured party, allegedly attempted to force the victim to withdraw the complaint she had filed against him.
Following the formal procedures, the arrested person will be taken to the Naples Poggioreale prison.
